Last Night at FNO Boston

7 Sep

You know, over the years I’ve heard a great share of criticism towards Boston’s fashion scene, but let me tell you honey when Boston puts in the work, we WORK. Last night if you were out on the town in any of the nation’s major and “mini” fashion capitals you saw what each city has to offer in it’s fashion districts for Fashion Night Out.  I brought up the event many times during the day while styling some of my clients yesterday and surprisingly, still not many people know about Fashion Night Out! And this could be for many reasons: their occupation, their age, the fact that Boston is fairly new to the FNO scene, but whatever the case, if you like some of my clients don’t know what the heck Fashion Night Out is here’s a brief breakdown:

Beginning in 2009 Fashion Night Out is a global initiative that aims to collectively celebrate current fashion and boost the retail business. For a few hours during the event (usually 6-11pm) fashion retailers extended their normal business hours, offer customers special discounts and host fashion themed parties. According to the official Fashion Night Out website: “In the United States, the program is a collaboration between American Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company, and the City of New York.”

Picture one big night of late night shopping, with extra discounts. Fashion forward parties, without the exclusive guest list. And streets filled with live music, complementary gifts in almost every shop, and tons of street fashion. Yup. That’s pretty much it honey. You simply bring your love for fashion and look fierce.  And let’s not forget it’s a great kick-off event for New York Fashion Week! Last night I saw thee most amazing looks on Newbury street and in the Copley mall. It was fantastic! Check out some of the pics below:

hey there and thank you for your info – I have definitely
picked up anything new from right here. I did however expertise some technical points using
this site, as I experienced to reload the web site a
lot of times previous to I could get it to load correctly.
I had been wondering if your hosting is
OK? Not that I am complaining, but slow
loading instances times will sometimes affect your placement in google and could damage your high-quality score if ads
and marketing with Adwords. Anyway I’m adding this RSS to my email and can look out for a lot more of your respective intriguing content. Make sure you update this again soon.
